The Green Committee meets the fourth Wednesday of every month at 7 p.m. at
the Community Center. All residents are invited to attend and participate in the
meetings. The primary responsibility will be researching ways to work together to
sustain the community and natural environment, to purchase environmentally
friendly materials, learn how to manage storm water and landscape sustainability, etc.
Subject to the direction of the Board of Directors, the committee will provide
recommendations to promote a “Green” community.
On an on-going basis, the Green Committee will research green initiatives and ideas
and report their findings to the Board of Directors for consideration.
Russett has already “gone green” by:
Purchasing bio-degradable doggie bags
Promoting direct debit payment to reduce paper usage
Changing out light bulbs to the energy efficient bulbs
Purchasing and installing a solar light
Having recyclables picked up at the Bathhouse and Community Center
